EDDM mailing service · Route mapping tool

Every Door Direct Mail, done for you.

EDDM puts your postcard in every mailbox in a neighborhood — great for local businesses that want broad awareness. The hard part has always been which neighborhoods. We answer that: tell us your business type, and we rank the neighborhoods around you by how well they fit it.

New to EDDM? Read the complete guide — costs, size requirements, and how it works.

    1. Pick your business type & drop a pin

Choose from 24 local business categories and set your location and service area.

    2. Get smart recommendations

We recommend neighborhoods of roughly 1,000 mailboxes each, matched to your category — and show you how many competitors already serve each one. Adjust the selection however you like.

    3. Pick a date, pay once

Choose a delivery date at least two weeks out. One flat payment covers everything — printing, postage, delivery. No subscription.

Why not just use the free USPS tool?

You could — USPS delivers the mail either way, and we run on the same postal rails. But the free tool just shows you routes and takes your postage. It won't tell you which neighborhoods are worth it, print your cards, or handle a single form. That's the part that decides whether a campaign works — and it's what we do:

    Neighborhoods matched to your business

A dental practice gets family neighborhoods. A financial advisor gets established, affluent ones. A restaurant gets the nearest and densest. Every recommendation comes with a plain-language reason — and you can override it with a different audience in one click.

See the competition before you spend

Each neighborhood shows how many businesses in your category already serve it — so you can aim at an open market instead of the block everyone else already mails.

    One business per neighborhood

When you book a neighborhood for a month, no other business in your category can mail it that month. Your postcard isn't one of five dental offers in the same mailbox.

    One simple all-in price

From $0.86 per piece, dropping to $0.66 at higher volumes — printing, postage, and delivery included. A typical neighborhood of ~1,000 mailboxes runs about $860. No quotes to chase.

    Every Door Direct Mail FAQs

What is Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM)?

Every Door Direct Mail is a USPS service that delivers your mailer to every address on the postal carrier routes you choose — no mailing list and no names or addresses. It's the cheapest way to reach whole neighborhoods by mail, which is why local businesses use it for awareness and promotions.

Is Every Door Direct Mail worth it?

For local businesses most households could use — restaurants, dentists, salons, home services — usually yes, because postage is low and there's no list to buy. Whether it pays off depends mostly on which neighborhoods you mail, which is why we rank the routes around you by fit for your business instead of leaving you to guess.

How is your EDDM mapping tool different from the USPS EDDM tool?

The free USPS EDDM tool shows carrier routes on a map with household counts. Ours shows the same routes, then ranks them by how well they fit your type of business, shows how many competitors already serve each one, and lets you book them for the month so no other Good Mail Co customer in your category mails them — and we print, prepare, and drop the mail for you.

How long does EDDM take to deliver?

EDDM Retail mail is dropped at the post offices that serve your routes and is usually delivered within a few days of the drop. With us, you pick the drop date at checkout, at least two weeks out, which leaves time to print and prepare the mail.

    How much does EDDM cost?

Our all-in price starts at $0.86 per piece and drops to $0.66 at higher volumes, covering design tools, printing, postage, and delivery. A typical neighborhood of about 1,000 mailboxes runs about $860. The free EDDM cost calculator shows the exact number for your mailbox count.

What are the requirements for EDDM?

EDDM Retail pieces must be flats — taller than 6⅛ inches, longer than 11½ inches, or thicker than ¼ inch, up to 12 × 15 inches — and weigh 3.3 ounces or less. Each mailing needs at least 200 pieces, bundled in stacks of 50–100 with facing slips, plus a printed indicia. Our 6.5 × 9 postcards meet all of it, and we handle the bundling and paperwork.

How do I check which EDDM route an address is on?

Drop a pin on your business in our map and you'll see the carrier routes around it, with household counts and our fit ranking for each. Every route is identified by its ZIP code plus a carrier route number, such as C012.
